Cultural Diversity in Brazil

[1]    Brazil has a remarkable creative diversity of
cultural expressions. Its cultural diversity can be a
central issue for the development of projects in the
country, especially focusing on Indigenous People

Preserving Indigenous Cultures
    Indigenous cultures possess a wealth of know-

ledge essential to achieving the Sustainable Deve-

lopment Goals and preserving the world’s environ-

[10] ment and biodiversity.
    Philosophy, values and ways of thinking, reflected
in the languages, oral traditions and diverse cultural
events, are the foundation of community life. In a
world of increasing global interactions, the revitalisa-

[15] tion of traditional and simplified cultures ensures the
survival of cultural diversity within each community,
contributing to the achievement of a plural world.
    The disappearance of indigenous languages sig-

nificantly threatens indigenous communities, their
[20] unique heritage and global diversity, and their po-

tential for creativity and innovation.
