Set among Middle Tennessee’s rolling hills in Wartrace, Tennessee which is known as “The Cradle of the Tennessee Walking Horse” this one-of-a-kind attraction showcases the grand regal history of the only horse named for its state. It is the only museum dedicated to the world-renowned Tennessee Walking Horse, famous for its mild temperament, stately manners and smooth gait.
The story of the “Gentlemen of the Equines” is told through state of the art videos, Walking Horse artifacts and fascinating three dimensional displays. A mini-theater features several videos providing a moving overview of the “World’s largest Horse Show”, snippets of one night horse shows and other interesting and informative visuals about the many disciplines and traits of this wonderful breed. Everything in the Tennessee Walking Horse National Museum has been designed to entertain and inform all visitors, horse enthusiast and novice alike.
