    “Almir Eduardo Melke Sater (born November 14^th 1956), best known as Almir Sater, is a Brazilian singer songwriter and actor.
    Born in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso (now located in Mato Grosso do Sul), Sater went to Rio de Janeiro when was 20 to attend the Law School of Universidade Cândido Mendes. Influenced by Tião Carreiro Pardinho, Tonico Tinoco, Délio Delinha, he started his singing career under the pseudonym Lupe in a duo called Lupe and Lampião. After being featured on Tetê Espíndola's band Lírio Selvagem in 1979, which was dissolved the same year, his composition, "Sonhos guaranis", was recorded by Sérgio Reis in 1980.

    His debut studio album was published in 1981 by Continental Records and mixed sertanejo with blues and local genres like Paraguayan polka, guarania and chamamé. In 1982, he started to write along with Renato Teixeira, a frequent contributor. In 1986, he debuted as an actor on Ozualdo Candeias's film As Bellas da Billings. He acted on Rede Manchete's Pantanal in 1990, the same year he received the Sharp Award for Tocando em Frente, a hit recorded by Maria Bethânia. In the following year, he starred on A História de Ana Raio e Zé Trovão. He was one of the best selling composer of record label Velas in the 1990s. After a ten year hiatus, Sater released 7 Sinais in 2007.

This article largely reflects upon projected expectations regarding educational actions/activities carried out in schools, within the scope of STD/AIDS prevention. To discuss this theme, we revised historical aspects that marked the institution of Sexual Education as a school subject. We noticed a significant association between school and the objective of correcting human behavioral deviations, including sexual (mis)conduct. We also observed that the proposals for Health Education, formulated in the health field and targeting schools, establish principles, objectives and recommendations for the sexual education of adolescents and children that do not take school as a social environment as their theme. We concluded by pointing out that highly constructive contributions are likely to be developed at schools, mainly as a result of the ability to broach the apparently fixed categories that constitute the field of sexual experience as eminently historical constructions. We believe that, from this point of view, the possibility of rearranging social relations is strengthened. UNITED NATIONS — The United Nations secretary general, Ban Ki-moon, is expected to announce on Wednesday that he has secured enough commitments from world leaders to ensure that the 2015 Paris climate accord will enter into legal force this year, binding the next American president, whoever it is.
The milestone is in reach in large part because Mr. Ban, who sees the climate deal as a centerpiece of his legacy, began a sustained push to win the formal approval of 55 countries representing 55 percent of global emissions — the threshold needed to put the accord into force. He pressed the issue personally with dozens of world leaders and with legislative bodies, including those in Russia and his native South Korea.
“We are absolutely certain that we will have the Paris agreement entering into force by the end of 2016,” said David Nabarro, a special adviser to Mr. Ban.
Complex and controversial international accords usually take several years to enter into legal force. But the haste on the Paris accord was driven at least in part by the looming American election. Donald J. Trump, the Republican candidate, has vowed to pull the United States out of the accord if he is elected. If the deal comes into legal force before the presidential inauguration, it will take four years under the accord’s rules for the United States to legally withdraw. That would keep the country bound to the measure through the first term of the next administration.
“We have no time,” Mr. Ban said, addressing the General Assembly on Tuesday. “I urge you to bring the Paris agreement into force this year.”

    In the autumn of 1621 in a struggling colony on the remote shores of Massachusetts Bay, the surviving colonists who had stepped off the Mayflower paused to celebrate. “Our harvest being gotten in,” the Puritan chronicler Edward Winslow wrote, “our governor sent four men on fowling, that so we might after a special manner rejoice together.” The men returned with enough wild birds to make a feast for the 50 surviving Pilgrim colonists (half the number who had arrived a year earlier) and a group of “some 90 men” who arrived with the Wampanoag leader Massasoit and who contributed five deer to the threeday celebration.

    Although earlier colonists had celebrated days of thanksgiving before the Mayflower colonists arrived, the 1621 feast at Plymouth Colony is considered the closest historical forerunner of the familiar modern-day Thanksgiving tradition. The link, however, is not direct. The feast Winslow described was basically a secular celebration. For the devoutly Christian Pilgrims, a community-wide day of thanksgiving would have been marked primarily by prayer and communal worship. In any case, Winslow’s description of the Pilgrim feast, published in London in 1622, was unknown in America until the mid-19th century. Novelist and magazine editor Sarah Josepha Hale, who launched a widely publicized campaign for a national holiday in 1846, first wrote about a link to the Mayflower Pilgrims in 1865. The connection quickly caught on: by 1870 children’s schoolbooks contained the now-familiar story of the Pilgrims, the Indians and the “first Thanksgiving.”
