Alfred Hitchcock was greatly influenced by American films and magazines. At the age of 20, he took up a job at the office of Paramount Studio, London. K-POP – fame and fortune?

Who has never had great fun dancing Up Gangnam Style at a party with friends and doing all the choreography? This is just one example of a growing industry that has become famous worldwide from Korea.
Currently, K-POP is responsible for bringing money to Korea not only because of the shows the bands promote, but also because of all the merchandize produced from the bands – cups, notebooks, sweatshirts, among others. In response, the Korean government invests on culture maximizing the financial return.
Unfortunately, it’s not only a bed of roses. Many young men and women, especially the ones known as the idols, have been going under a lot of pressure due to the fame and not all of them can deal well with it. We have heard information that an idol decided to stop eating simply because one of his fans called him overweight.
Worse was yet to come. On October 14th 2019, one idol, Sulli, former star of the group F(X) was found dead at the age of 25. She was found in her apartment in Seongnam, Korea, and police are investigating the cause of death. Apparently, Sulli took her own life. According to family and close friends, she couldn’t deal with some situations that happened, including one exposure at her Instagram account.
What can we all learn from that" How can we help young people to cope with the difficulties of life" Are we being virtually too exposed? These are some questions that should be reflected and answers should be found.

Fake News
Fake News has become a phenomenon among internet users – from teens to presidential elections – all over the world especially for those can’t live without the social media.
However, fake news is not an invention of the 21st century. Well-known international newspapers already published some elaborated hoaxes such as the astonishing sights observed by the British astronomer John Herschel in 1835 from an observatory in South Africa.
Printers noticed the great increase in sales when those ‘fictional’ stories were published and, as we have today, they claim that they were just providing a means of distribution of the news, and were not responsible for guaranteeing accuracy.
We have currently ways to discover the truth faster than in the past. Nevertheless, fake news is also spread to a huge number of people and we have always to consider the effects of this news to society as a whole.
